POLITO CHARITY EVENT REACHES $180,000

Eighth Annual Event Benefits

Shrewsbury Youth & Family Services and Westborough Food Pantry

BOSTON – Representative Karyn E. Polito, R-Shrewsbury, hosted the eighth annual Karyn Polito Charity Golf Tournament on Monday, August 10th at the Pleasant Valley Country Club in Sutton.

The golf tournament is a successful event with 100% of proceeds distributed to local charities.  At the dinner event, checks for $10,000 were presented to each of two charities: Shrewsbury Youth and Family Services, and the Westborough Food Pantry.

"I am so proud of the turnout and overwhelming support we received again this year.  It is amazing that we have been able to distribute over $180,000 to these two very deserving local charities over the past eight years.  This event shows the strong sense of community and camaraderie that exists here among our area residents and businesses.  Once again, I am overwhelmed by the goodness and generosity of so many people who care about helping their neighbors especially in these challenging times.  A special thanks to the participants, the sponsors, and the Golf Committee, who continue to do a marvelous job of orchestrating a fun and successful day on the links," said Polito.
